Pompeian homes - what they looked like
In Pompeii, there were a lot of villas and most houses had private gardens. Pompeian houses are very different to the houses we live in now. Their living rooms faced inward. Richer people could afford a town house and a country villa. They also lived in Domuses which is a spread - out manison. The front door opened up to a hall and they usually had a pool in the middle. Romans also had a lot of wall art and mosaics in their houses.
